Tether

This series examines artist's studios, public recreational spaces and private residences to question the boundaries of creative space while blurring the borders of artistic production that begun as a three-month invitation reseincy at the Künstlerhaus Dortmund in Germany. Taking pictures in public and private spaces, the series blurs the boundaries between the artist’s studio and community spaces. Tether asks the viewer to reflect on the processes behind creative thought and to consider where the ‘work’ of artists takes place. The series consists of images of artist’s studios, apartments and communal living spaces, alongside images of outdoor recreational spaces, gardens and courtyards.
